Barb O’Neil - Oil on Canvas, Raised Wood

I have lived in New Ross with my family since 2010 on our homestead/small farm where we grow much of our own food and enjoy the beautiful surroundings here in New Ross.

I have been painting since I was a child on and off, and am mainly self-taught but I have participated in various workshops and extended learning courses via NSCAD over the years.  I primarily paint in oils, usually local landscapes and beaches.  Occasionally I paint animals and marine life as well.  Although I spend most of my time working as a physician I try to save time to relax and create art on a regular basis. I have sold my work via online routes, and at several Nova Scotian galleries. I do commissions and particularly enjoy creating large abstracted works for clients.
